Five steps from raw exports to a sealed audit package.
No migration, no new bookkeeping system. OAE Trust Resolution works from the files a firm already produces and turns them into a verified, documented, independently checkable review.
Upload the evidence
Bring in the QuickBooks trust-account exports and the bank statements for the engagement period. The moment each file arrives it is SHA-256 hashed. From that point on, every figure the review produces can be traced back to a specific line in a specific, integrity-verified source file.
The engine verifies every month
A deterministic audit engine runs the three-way reconciliation (bank statement to trust book to client ledgers) for each month in the period. Nothing is sampled and nothing is estimated: the same evidence always produces the same result, so the verification is reproducible by anyone who needs to check it. Where the three sides agree, that agreement is proven. Where they don’t, the exception is surfaced with its trail.
Review findings, document decisions
Findings arrive citing the rule they test (negative client balances, checks to cash, stale balances, commingling signals), sorted into severity and confidence lanes so the items that matter surface first. Acting on a finding requires a written rationale, and every decision is appended to a log that can never be edited or trimmed. The judgment trail builds itself while you work.
Ask the attorney, on the record
Items that need the attorney’s side of the story become structured question packets. The attorney responds through a secure portal (no email threads, no attachments floating around), and the answers become part of the engagement record alongside the evidence they explain.
Export the hashed audit package
When the review is complete, export a cryptographically hashed audit package: the reconciliation results, the findings and every decision made on them, the question-and-answer record, and the hashes of every source file. Anyone holding the package can verify its integrity independently, months or years later.
The rules are data, not hard-coded logic
Every finding is produced by a rule pack: a data-driven set of state trust-accounting rules with their authorities cited. New Jersey’s pack is available today, and because the engine reads rules as configuration rather than code, additional states ship without waiting on a rewrite.
